Al Maktoum Airport Car Rental | Rent a Car at DWC from AED 80 per Day
Al Maktoum Airport car rental with Golden Key means your car is waiting when you clear arrivals and no shuttle to an off-site depot, no counter queue, no deposit hold surprises. We meet you at Dubai World Central (DWC) with the keys, the contract already prepared from your documents, and comprehensive insurance included in the rate.
DWC sits in Dubai South, roughly 50 km from Downtown and 35 km from Dubai Marina. That distance is exactly why renting a car here pays for itself: a single one-way taxi into the city costs a large share of a full day's rental, and there is no metro station inside the airport. Land, collect your car, and drive.

Why you need a car at Al Maktoum International (DWC)
DXB has the Red Line running into two of its terminals. DWC does not. Public transport to and from Al Maktoum Airport means a bus link to the Expo City metro station and a change or two after that, with luggage, in the heat. For most arrivals the practical choice is a taxi every time you move, or your own car for the whole trip.

Distances are approximate and measured by road; taxi fares vary with traffic and time of day.
Two or three taxi runs and you have spent more than a day of car rental. A week of them costs more than a full week's hire of an economy car — and the car is yours around the clock, including the beach run, the mall trip and the drive to Abu Dhabi.

How airport delivery works at DWC
● Book online at gkcarrental.ae or send us your dates on WhatsApp.
● Send photos of your passport, visa page and driving licence — we prepare the contract in advance.
● Give us your flight number. We track the arrival, so a delayed landing costs you nothing.
● Our driver meets you outside the arrivals hall at the Passenger Terminal with the car and the keys.
● Two-minute handover: walk-around inspection, photos, digital signature, and you drive out.
Returning is the same in reverse — hand the car back at departures, or tell us where in the city to collect it from. There is no fee for either.
Out-of-hours arrivals: DWC handles early-morning and late-night flights, and we deliver 24/7 at no extra charge.
What you need to rent a car at Al Maktoum Airport
Visitors and tourists
● Passport with a valid entry stamp or visit visa
● Home-country driving licence with an International Driving Permit — or a licence from a country on the UAE exchange list (GCC, UK, most of the EU, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea and others)
● Credit or debit card for the refundable deposit — selected cars are available with no deposit
● Minimum age 21 for standard categories, 25 for luxury
UAE residents
● Emirates ID and UAE driving licence
● For premium and luxury categories, one year of licence history
Nothing needs to be printed. Send the documents ahead of your flight and the only thing left at the airport is the handover.
Long-term and monthly rental from DWC
A large share of DWC arrivals are here for work — Dubai South, Jebel Ali, Expo City, DIP and the free zones are all within 20 minutes of the airport. If you are staying a month or more, monthly rental is the cheapest way to stay mobile: rates from AED ____ per month including insurance, servicing and a replacement car if yours goes in for maintenance. No down payment, no registration, no resale problem when the contract ends.
Contracts renew month to month, so a project extension or an early exit is simply a phone call.
Driving out of DWC: routes, Salik and fuel
Leaving the airport you have three main roads into Dubai. Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) is the fastest to Marina, Palm Jumeirah and Downtown. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) is the better bet in peak traffic and connects to Al Barsha, Mirdif and Sharjah. Emirates Road (E611) skirts the city entirely if you are heading to the northern emirates.
Every Golden Key car has a Salik tag fitted. Gates are billed at cost — AED 4 off-peak, AED 6 at peak times — and added to your final invoice with no admin fee. Cars leave full of fuel and should come back full. Petrol stations sit on both sides of the airport exit road, so a top-up before you return takes five minutes.

Which car to pick for a DWC arrival
Economy — the value choice
If the plan is hotel, meetings and the occasional beach trip, an economy sedan does everything at the lowest running cost. Cheapest fuel bill on the long DWC-to-city commute.
7-seater or full-size SUV — families and groups
DWC handles a lot of charter and holiday traffic, which means families with luggage. A 7-seater takes the whole party plus bags in one vehicle; a Patrol or Tahoe adds the ground clearance for Hatta, Al Qudra and desert weekends.
Luxury — business arrivals
Mercedes and BMW models are available on daily and weekly hire with airport delivery, if you are landing for meetings and want the car to match.
Why book with Golden Key
● Free delivery and collection at DWC arrivals and departures, 24/7, flight tracked.

● No-deposit options on selected cars.
● Salik and traffic fines billed at cost, no admin markup.
● Licensed Dubai rental company with a maintained, low-mileage fleet.
● One WhatsApp number for support, replacements and extensions.
